Issa stands up for 2nd Amendment

I just read this on Townhall, where MSNBC analyst and Huffpo columnist decides that of all the other rights protected by the Constitution that the 2nd amendment isn't as important as the others that are listed in there. What she, and quite frankly all other liberals, fail to realize is that without the 2nd amendment the others aren't really that useful either. Once you have taken away the armed citizenry then there really is no fear of gov to do away with the rest of them either. Don't believe me? Ask Germany about 1936.



Rep Darrell Issa was there and stood up for gun owners everywhere explaining that the point of the amendment is for lawful gun owners to be able to protect their families, hunt, or just for collection, and yes if it ever came down to it I seem to remember a few countries citizenry replacing their government because they were armed.

Bill Maher apparently believes that if we ever stood up to the government that they would use nuclear weapons against us. Well if that was true what does that tell us about our gov and the belief held by libs? Does that mean that they believe that them being in power is so important and so determined that if it were to be challenged by the very people who put them there they would be willing to make parts of the US uninhabitable? REALLY?

Bill Engval was also there and made a couple of good points about how he views the second amendment. And while I understand his point that any gun that can shoot off 60 rounds without releasing the trigger probably won't be used for hunting there are still people out there that will want them for collection, and you never know your house might be swarmed by ninjas and you may need a 60 round burst to protect yourself.

To the guy who says we should only get rid of the guns that are responsible for the crimes in inner cities what guns is he talking about? Handguns? or does he believe that fully automatic rifles and Sniper rifles are causing mayhem throughout the country like Dianne Feinstein believes.



Oh yeah one more thing. If you haven't heard. Eric Holder is going to testify that we should have stricter gun control laws because that would have stopped the dumbest plan ever hatched by government.
