Shocking Iran wants us out of the Gulf

Reading Fox News today. I found out that the Iranian head of the Army went out publicly and said that the US should not bring the USS John C Stennis back into the Persian Gulf. He never went into detail as to why but I think we can all see what this is.

1.2 trillion more we owe the Chinese

Shockingly the money we allowed Obama to have with the earlier debt limit raising wasn't enough. To compound that ignorance and stupidity by McConnell and Boehner we can't stop or make a public spectacle about Obama asking for another 1.2 trillion in debt limit increase.

Rick and Newt both out in VA

Well this is depressing. Not so much from the fact that I wanted either of them to win, however more from the concept of now we only have Mittens and Ron Paul on the ballot in VA. That as Hot Air says is enough to make you want to indulge in some seriously hard liquor.

Liberalism vs Conservatism: What does it all mean?

Let me start by saying that I'm sure that we here at The Handbook are not the first ones to say what I am about to say, but I would like to say it in my own way. The concept of liberal vs conservative can be boiled down to one thing: Emotions.

Liberals are obsessed with them. It drives every thought process they have, every government intervention into your life that they desire, and every aspect of their lives, not to mention how they want to us it to control yours. Think about it, they tell you that we need one thing or another "for the kids" or "for your health" or "so everyone gets a fair deal" see its all built to play off of your emotions. Now that being said I do not believe their total goal is to make you get a warm and fuzzy inside. Their entire goal is to get power so that they can control your life and show you how much smarter they are than you.

When a bill gets passed by a state gov or the fed gov that does something that is suppose to keep you healthy, like your kids have to eat tofu every day at lunch, they really don't give a damn about your kids. Well if your kid is a homosexual, minority they do, other than that they are just trying to control your life that much further, but they are going to use your emotions to try to get you to go along with them.  Oh you can't find a job for almost 2 years because we keep screwing up everything that would allow jobs to grow? Well don't worry about it, my lazy friend, soon we are going to make sure that you and everyone like you get to keep your UI for as long as you need it. See emotions.

How can all those mean angry conservatives talk about splitting up all these hard working immigrant families just to send some of them back to Mexico because they crossed some line on a map and stole jobs. Granted there are rules and regulations and processes for them to come here legally but we can't be wasting that kind of time. We need them here and now. Because after all who else is going to vote for all those handouts.

Like I said everything a liberal tells you is designed to pull at your heart strings.

Now compare that to conservatives. Yes some things we do have parts based on emotion. However what we don't do is make every decision based on emotion. Most of it is based on common sense. The fact that our programs and ideas will help more people than any heart string gov handout just happens to be lagniappe (extra).

If anyone disagrees with me let me know.

Dear Leader Dead

So while reading Fox News this morning I find out that Kim Jong IL died today. What does that mean for both North Korea and the rest of the world. Kim Jong Un, the third son has already been tabbed as the heir apparent, so the question becomes what exactly do we know about Jong Un. Is he as crazy as "Dear Leader" was? Personally I don't know.

Keystone XL Pipeline

So with the passage of the extension for UI benefits and the Payroll tax cut for two months. The GOP managed to not screw it up and get the Keystone XL pipeline in the bill.

Destroying the Left's Voter ID myths Part II

As promised here are the numbers for Indiana. As stated in the previous post only GA and IN had voter ID laws in the 2008 election year so I am using the numbers from 2004 and 2008 to prove that requiring ID in order to participate in elections DOES NOT suppress turnout, nor does it disenfranchise voters.

So here are the numbers. Unfortunately I can't find the numbers on the IN SOS site like I was able to for GA that broke them down by race and age, so these are the total numbers based on Race alone in IN. The only place that I was able to find this information was the William C. Velasquez Institute webpage. This is the link for the IN breakdown.

2004        Reg            Reg %        Turn out        TO %
Blacks - 229,000       62.2%         198,000       86.5%

Latino -  57,000         48.3%         41,000         71.9%

2008
Blacks - 228,000       63.3%         219,000       96.1%

Latino - 45,000          44.1%          36,000        80%

So as you can see yes, there were fewer latinos registered to vote in 2008, however a higher percentage of the registered ones showed up to vote. While the black population lost a thousand registered voters 21,000 new voters showed up during the 2008 election. Since minorities and old people were suppose to be the most affected by this why did more of them show up? And why have more of them registered?

Destroying the Left's Voter ID myths

So I read and posted about the articles talking about how Mickey Mouse and Adolf Hitler's signatures would be accepted on the Scott Walker recall petition unless they were individually challenged. We can get into the idea of common sense and personal responsibility, but something tells me that it would be a foolish fight. You can't argue with leftist any more than you can argue with the brick wall in front of me. That being said this is one that I just couldn't resist. Usually I just give everyone the gist of whats going on and a quick breakdown of my feelings/ideas. Well today I actually went and did research. What I found is enough to make every liberal squirm and scream bloody murder. I'm actually looking forward to it.

Proof that Scott Walker is doing a good job.

In Wisconsin Scott Walker has endeared himself to conservatives, fought against Unions, saved a failing government budget and made multiple school districts solvent for the first time in who knows how long. But not every is excited about the changes that he has made to the gov.

Ron Paul in Iowa

I'm not really going to delve into the concept of "could" Ron Paul win Iowa. Frankly it's a caucus and no one is better organized or has more of a rabid fan base. But my real question comes from the intrigue that Hot Air threw into my mind when I was reading this post.

House Introduces No Confidence Bill for Eric Holder

Rep Paul Gosar (AZ-R) filed H. Res 490 which is a bill to force a vote of No Confidence in Attorney General Eric Holder. This should be the first step towards impeaching and removing what could possibly be the worst and least effective Attorney General in the history of this country. That being said, does this mean that they had confidence in him prior to Fast and Furious?

Further Proof we need drug testing of members of Congress

Today in a story in the Daily Caller and paraphrased in Hot Air. Rep Hank Johnson (D-GA) decided to prove to everyone out there that Congress has to be stoned. In what can only be described as the guy who drew the short straw to try and merge the NRA and Tea Party to Fast and Furious, he made this brilliant quote:

Your 5 year old will learn about transgender problems in school

Well if your like me and stuck in the UK then your child will. We apologize to those in the other countries that saw this and had a massive spike in their blood pressure. Apparently in the UK it's a big enough problem that something called transphobic bullying needs to be stomped out now. And how do you figure the liberals of England decide to do it? Well by teaching your five year old of course.

My apologies for my absence

I would like to thank the people who have continued to read this while I have been away. Once I get my computer working again I'll be back and The Handbook will be back up and running at full strength.

Thanks for your patience

Did you know driving will lower your chance of being a virgin?

According to Saudi Arabia allowing women to drive in that country would ‘provoke a surge in prostitution, pornography, homosexuality and divorce’. And that within 10 years there would be no more virgins in the Kingdom.

I still haven't managed to make the 7 degrees of Bacon connection on this one. It is above my mental capacity I guess. As Hot Air said it may make insurance premiums go up and create individual mandates but homosexuality? Really?

I'm so confused by this.. I thought cars were your sense of freedom, made you feel young.. not make you wanna play for the other team.

Herman Cain Announcement Today

So Herman Cain is going to make a big announcement today. Is it that he's getting out of the race? I don't know. Hot Air thinks he might be, but also has a lot of clues to make you think he might not be.

At this point who knows other than Herman Cain himself.

Either way once an announcement is made I'll keep you updated.

ACLU pissed Siri doesn't give directions to abortion clinics

Apple and in particular Siri are the newest targets of the ACLU and abortion rights wackos. They are pissed because the I-phone personal assistant will not give you directions to your nearest baby murder factory.

Congress Calls Obamas Bluff

I was going to write about this a couple of days ago. Then my computer decided that it no longer wanted to cooperate with me at all. After multiple sayings that can't be repeated and blue screens a plenty I managed to get it back late yesterday.

Now on to the problems. The House and Senate both passed a 662 billion dollar defense bill that normally would just sail through and become law. But this one has a problem that Obama just cant stand the thought of. It requires that anyone caught and admits to affiliation to Al Quaeda or other terrorist organization instantly becomes property of the U.S. Military, even if they are US citizens. This waives their rights to trials and opens them up to indefinite detention.

Obama, Panetta, and every civil rights group out there hates it. That tells me it probably is a good plan. Although i do understand the slippery slope argument for the citizens captured and held indefinitely.

The Senate voted 92-7 for it, not sure about the house vote yet, but it seems like it would veto proof as well. Now all that has to happen is the bills to be combined and sent to his desk.

Al Queda with US Hosatge?

Possibly. Per Fox News Ayman Al-Zawahiri released a video statement that saying that Warren Weinstein would be released once US strikes on Afghan, Pakistan, Somolia, and Yemen.

Camp Victory now in Iraqi hands

As of today Camp Victory now belongs completely to the Iraqi government. The base that we built to house military leadership throughout the Iraqi war was turned over with no fan fare, no ceremony, just the signings of some paperwork similar to that of  closing on a house.
