Dems have once again lost their minds.

First it was Steny Hoyer coming out and giving the Balanced Budget Amendment the greatest endorsement anyone could have ever dreamed about when he said that it would make it virtually impossible to raise taxes. Now Chuck Schumer wants to limit your 1st Amendment rights.

Yeah, and they are the smart party right?

Tax plans will create NO growth.

The Democrats have circulated a tax plan that would cover the next year to see if they can get enough votes to get it passed. They are basically keeping the current tax rates (I refuse to call them tax cuts, since they have been the rates for 10 years) for everyone below 200,000 or 250,000 for families.

Republicans are no better, as they only want to extend the current rates for everyone for another year. Then the promise with a pledge they will absolutely do something in 2013. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Another Dem crosses the aisle against Holder. Updated

Its slow out there today. Nothing much going on, everything and everybody waiting until tomorrow for Obama Slap-Down Day™. But on that note I did find something that will make Obama's night that much worse. How much Tums do you think he's chewing right now?

Anyway after Jim Matheson (D) of Utah said publicly that he was going to vote in favor of contempt for Eric Holder, comes another blow to Obama and his band of criminal lackies.

Rep. John Barrow (D-GA) has now come out publicly with intent to make history.

Dems with no Public Unions Fail, in other news water is wet.

On Fox News today Chris Stirewalt wrote an article that basically said out loud what everyone already knew. Dems can never survive without Unions and primarily PEU's. Why? Because as the article says its a vicious cycle:

The cycle for five decades has been that unions support the campaigns of Democrats who promise to expand the power of unions. Thus empowered, the unions have more money with which to elect more Democrats who further expand union powers. And so it goes.

Dems begining to realize Obama doesn't like them either.

Well maybe not liking them is too strong of a term, not willing to help, doesn't care if they win or lose, thinks of all of them as beneath him might be better ways to describe it. Since his election in 2008 he hasn't exactly been willing to get out there and get his hands dirty getting other dems elected. Apparently after almost 4 years they finally learned what the rest of us already knew, he's only in it for himself.

Fox News talks about his disassociation with Tom Barret in WI. The fact that he could attend 6 fundraisers in MI and IL, causing him to fly over WI in the last days before the election, and not even stopping. To at least act like he cared if the rest of his party actually did anything. I wonder if he gave Barret the finger as he flew over?

Further down that article they mention that the magic number is 39, as in 39%.

So while me and you are losing 39% or more of our net worth what is he out doing? Well what he does best, fundraising. For the last, well since he got elected, he has been campaigning to get re-elected. I don't think he ever stopped long enough to figure out what it actually means to be President and try to actually, you know, run the government. 

Then again if he is this bad just winging it and being distracted all the time, I really don't want to know what kind of crap he would try to get passed if he was actually paying attention. But don't worry you can always win a dinner with him and Sara Jessica Parker. 

So would anyone be in favor of a law that makes it illegal to use bill the tax payers for the transportation if the President gives a "policy speech" then goes to a fundraiser. Shouldn't the campaign have to pay for the trip if ANY part of the trip is going to be for campaign purposes. At least then he would have to admit that all this traveling is simply for his attempt at re-election.

 

Then again always remember this man hates you. Not in the general sense, I'm talking in the you kicked his dog and stole his girlfriend can't stand your mere existence hates you.

Scott Walker lays the smack down!!

This post is taking a small bit of time to write, unfortunately my 2 year old decided to knock my beer on my laptop. So I'm writing this with a combination of my actual keyboard and the catastrophe that is the on screen keyboard. I say this so if there are more typos than normal you'll know why.

Now on to the good stuff.

Last night was suppose to be the night that Libs put all those pesky conservatives in there place. So imagine my surprise to wake up today to find out that Walker not only won. He kicked wimpy liberal ass all over the state. His statement after the results showed just how much Walker completely understands what voters are after. 

“They [the voters] said loudly, not just in Wisconsin, but across the country, ‘If you do the right thing, if you make the tough choices, voters will stand with you.’”

Of course Obama believes a message was sent to Walker and those union hating conservatives. I'm not completely sure what that message is but I for one hope that its the same message that they use in November.

Its that time in WI today. Updated: DOJ to monitor

Well it's here. The recall that is but isn't the referendum on Barack Obama and the Union thuggery that has encompassed his campaign. At the end of today hopefully we have good news to share. But as Erick Erickson posted up this morning you just never know.

Dems have made a living of stealing elections. With the knowledge that Mickey Mouse and Hitler were allowed to sign the recall petition to get this whole thing going with no one questioning it, well should we really be surprised if we find out there is a little hankey going on in WI today?

Barret says that he is confident he will win. Scott Walker says the same thing. Hot Air has a post up that Walker has a 95% chance of winning today. Frankly words like that scare us here at The Handbook.

Our hopes and dreams crushed too many times by elections we thought we had, or politicians that told us they were with us and stabbed us in the back as soon as they could.

Update: Well this can be nothing but good news. The DOJ has decided to descend upon  WI and ensure that the election is fair and nothing is out of the ordinary. Which probably means that the Black Panthers will be outside of the polling places with batons.
Not that the DOJ is biased or anything like that.

Liberalism vs Conservatism: What does it all mean?

Let me start by saying that I'm sure that we here at The Handbook are not the first ones to say what I am about to say, but I would like to say it in my own way. The concept of liberal vs conservative can be boiled down to one thing: Emotions.

Liberals are obsessed with them. It drives every thought process they have, every government intervention into your life that they desire, and every aspect of their lives, not to mention how they want to us it to control yours. Think about it, they tell you that we need one thing or another "for the kids" or "for your health" or "so everyone gets a fair deal" see its all built to play off of your emotions. Now that being said I do not believe their total goal is to make you get a warm and fuzzy inside. Their entire goal is to get power so that they can control your life and show you how much smarter they are than you.

When a bill gets passed by a state gov or the fed gov that does something that is suppose to keep you healthy, like your kids have to eat tofu every day at lunch, they really don't give a damn about your kids. Well if your kid is a homosexual, minority they do, other than that they are just trying to control your life that much further, but they are going to use your emotions to try to get you to go along with them.  Oh you can't find a job for almost 2 years because we keep screwing up everything that would allow jobs to grow? Well don't worry about it, my lazy friend, soon we are going to make sure that you and everyone like you get to keep your UI for as long as you need it. See emotions.

How can all those mean angry conservatives talk about splitting up all these hard working immigrant families just to send some of them back to Mexico because they crossed some line on a map and stole jobs. Granted there are rules and regulations and processes for them to come here legally but we can't be wasting that kind of time. We need them here and now. Because after all who else is going to vote for all those handouts.

Like I said everything a liberal tells you is designed to pull at your heart strings.

Now compare that to conservatives. Yes some things we do have parts based on emotion. However what we don't do is make every decision based on emotion. Most of it is based on common sense. The fact that our programs and ideas will help more people than any heart string gov handout just happens to be lagniappe (extra).

Keystone XL Pipeline

So with the passage of the extension for UI benefits and the Payroll tax cut for two months. The GOP managed to not screw it up and get the Keystone XL pipeline in the bill.

Proof that Scott Walker is doing a good job.

In Wisconsin Scott Walker has endeared himself to conservatives, fought against Unions, saved a failing government budget and made multiple school districts solvent for the first time in who knows how long. But not every is excited about the changes that he has made to the gov.

Schumer Believes D will pick up seats in '12

Senator Chuck Schumer is either high on something or is seriously trying to convince himself its not as bad it's gonna be. In an interview with The Hill he claimed that Democrats not only will hold their majority in the Senate but expand their lead.
