Feed on the Hate, it's all we have left

Now that Mitch McConnell and John Boehner have officially capitulated we can go ahead and start focusing on the things that are important in life. Like how to get them both out of office now. We're looking at you Ohio.

To be honest Boehner hasn't completely tucked tail just yet, but let's be honest we all know it's coming.

Thanks for nothing Paul Ryan

In negotiations there is a saying "shoot for the stars and you might get the moon." Basically ask for everything you could dream about and you might be able to end up with close to what you really wanted. Republicans in Congress have never learned this lesson. They shoot for their nuts and typically end up shooting their own feet. Meaning they start out asking for less than they should dream about and end up with only looking spineless with a bloody foot.

No more money after 17 Oct.

In a move that seems oddly reminiscent of the play made during the debt limit fight last December when Treasury forced us to hit the debt limit earlier than expected, they now say that will happen Oct 17th. Forcing Congress to act within 2 weeks of the beginning of the new fiscal year.

Ok, so not really out of money, just not able to borrow any more, we will still have 30 billion or so on hand, plus whatever the government brings in for the month. Anyone else find it odd that right before the debt limit fight comes up news comes out about how we are broke and unable to borrow any more?

Yeah I don't find it odd either. I'm also pretty sure that it is nothing more than pressure applied to Boehner because they know he has no spine.

But I say screw it. Let's hit the debt limit. Let's make it so there is no more borrowing, once the initial screaming dies down we can get down to the problems at hand. The out of control spending. Once there is no money to spend on dumb things and pet projects, priorities get shuffled real quick.

Time to make D.C. learn some new priorities. So screw it, don't pass a debt limit deal. Give them nothing.

Does the No budget No pay bill really make a difference?

I ask this in all seriousness. The House passing the bill is a good step I think, but where does it really get us? It allows Obama to continue his reckless spending until April at the earliest and only means that the Senate has to do the job that the Constitution requires them to do already. So again I ask does this really make a difference?

The Debt Limit is the right fight, but is only the beginning.

I have been reading a lot of things today about how people out there are thinking that we should not have the fight on the debt limit because it is as they say "the wrong fight". People like Newt Gingrich think that we should wait and fight in March at the end of the CR and allow the debt limit to raise now and make the rest of the spending official in March with an actual budget. As if the Senate will actually pass one of those. HAHAHA

Did Treasury force us to hit the debt limit during fiscal cliff debate?

Earlier I spoke about how it seemed kind of odd that throughout the year the Treasury kept telling us that we would make it until Feb before the debt limit was reached. Then magically on Dec 31 we hit the debt ceiling. Turns out we hit it on that date because Timothy Geithner forced us to hit it on that date.

According to CNSNews it turns out that we borrowed $95.953 billion that we didn't even need. Why because that amount raised our debt from $16.298022 trillion to 16.393975 trillion with the debt limit being at $16.394 trillion.

Can Conservatives win the coming debt limit and sequester fight?

I ask this in all seriousness. I know that if we had a "leadership" that was more concerned with reigning in spending and reducing the debt we could win. The problem is we don't have that kind of leadership. True, we do have some in Congress that feel this way and have the spine to make it work, but those unfortunately do not amount to numbers that we need.

John Boehner and Mitch McConnell will capitulate and cave long before we ever get to point of actually making the Dems sweat. Reason is the other side already knows that the Republican "Leadership" is scared of the media narrative blaming them if things don't go the exact way that the Dems want it to. We all know that those spineless fools will never have the fortitude to actually force the cuts that are needed.

We asked for it, Now we have it.

For the last month I have been screaming to the world and all three of you here that read this, that we needed to go over the cliff. Pass a bill in the house that was logical and made full of common sense, you know balancing the budget type stuff, and then send it to the Senate and walk away. Instead what happened is what always happens. The Republican "Leadership" caved and gave away everything and then some.

Oh and for those of you about to say it, DO NOT come to me and talk about changing a narrative for the debt ceiling debate. Even you can't possibly believe that Boehner (if still speaker) and McConnell are going to show any more backbone than what they did here.

Great News: 16.4 Trillion debt ceiling to be hit Dec 31

According to the math whiz that runs the Treasury Department, we will hit the debt ceiling sooner than we expected. Don't worry though through some accounting gimmicks he can make us reach Feb. Maybe.

Some how the guy who couldn't figure out turbo tax can figure out to the day we will run out of money. Something smells fishy here. So at the same time that Obama wants a removal of the Debt Ceiling and at a very least wants a clean increase for the next few years, all of a sudden all those predictions to hit the ceiling come Feb were wrong. You mean to tell me the Federal Government can't add? Shocked I tell you. Shocked!

Well now lets look at the budget and help Turbo Tax Timmy find some more money. All totals from the 2013 proposed budget from Obama.

We allowed this to happen now deal with it.

I have been trying to figure out what I wanted this post to say for a few days. Today it struck me as to what it was that I wanted to say. I have been reading that people think that the Conservative caucus of the Republican House screwed everything up by throwing a "Tantrum" and making sure that Plan B failed. Some people believe that by doing this we are going to be stuck with God knows what kind of deal that is going to screw us over in the long run.

Here's a news flash for you. Plan B was that plan that was going to screw us over, and it wasn't even going to wait for the long run. It was going to screw us over right from the beginning, but people are so afraid of the fiscal cliff that they don't want to believe that. They seem to believe that Congress is actually concerned with doing something that is logical and would actually be a step in the right direction for the country. If that were the case the Sandy relief fund wouldn't be 60 billion with only 11 billion going to Sandy victims and most of the money not being spent until 2015.

Boehner caving and still hates you.

We at The Handbook have often said that we believe that the Republican "Leadership" hates you. I can prove this again. Boehner is caving on everything that Obama wants. Obama has no reason to negotiate because he knows that eventually Boehner will cave and give him more than he ever asked for.

Screw the Fiscal Cliff

Let me start by saying that we should never have been put into this position to begin with. The fact that Congress felt this was a good plan shows just how stupid they really are. Don't worry they tell us though, we're going to fix it before we actually have to enact all of this stuff. Excuse me if I'm not holding my breath.
