Jindal still has some fixin to do in LA

Every Tuesday at Fresh Market stores in LA, you are able to buy a gallon of milk for 2.99, this was a promotion that the store had been running for some time. Now, thanks to some unidentified complaint, the State Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain says that this is illegal and has to stop.

No seriously a State Commissioner told a store that it is against the law for them to put a particular product on sale because the Dairy Stabilization Board doesn't like it being the price that Fresh Market was selling the milk. Understand this, they were not affecting the price that the store itself was willing to buy the milk from the distributor, merely lowering the cost that they sold it to the consumer, also known as a sale. They LOST money on this deal. Willingly lost money on this deal.

English Socialism: Report on your Neighbor

As some of you know I am currently residing in England, however, thankfully not for much longer. Now that being said I was at McDonald's today and saw a sign that seriously bothered me for a few reasons.

Does the No budget No pay bill really make a difference?

I ask this in all seriousness. The House passing the bill is a good step I think, but where does it really get us? It allows Obama to continue his reckless spending until April at the earliest and only means that the Senate has to do the job that the Constitution requires them to do already. So again I ask does this really make a difference?

The Debt Limit is the right fight, but is only the beginning.

I have been reading a lot of things today about how people out there are thinking that we should not have the fight on the debt limit because it is as they say "the wrong fight". People like Newt Gingrich think that we should wait and fight in March at the end of the CR and allow the debt limit to raise now and make the rest of the spending official in March with an actual budget. As if the Senate will actually pass one of those. HAHAHA

Did Treasury force us to hit the debt limit during fiscal cliff debate?

Earlier I spoke about how it seemed kind of odd that throughout the year the Treasury kept telling us that we would make it until Feb before the debt limit was reached. Then magically on Dec 31 we hit the debt ceiling. Turns out we hit it on that date because Timothy Geithner forced us to hit it on that date.

According to CNSNews it turns out that we borrowed $95.953 billion that we didn't even need. Why because that amount raised our debt from $16.298022 trillion to 16.393975 trillion with the debt limit being at $16.394 trillion.

Wal Mart caving to the gun nuts.

According to Liberty News, Wal Mart is suspending the ordering of any new ammunition until D.C. decides on what asinine new encroachments they want to put on our 2nd Amendment rights.

“As of right now WalMart is not going to be making any new orders of ammo because of the upcoming decision on the Second Amendment.  As of right now we are unsure of what new legislation might be coming, and because of this, we are suspending new orders."

Why Obama won re-election.

We have come a long way throughout the relatively short history of our country. We went from ruled colonies to one of the most powerful to the most powerful nation in under 200 years. That ladies and gentlemen is amazing.

But slowly along the way things started to happen. We started to relax our morals, we started to lose that self determination that allowed us to strive to such great heights so quickly.

Slowly but surely we started to look for reasons not to succeed rather that looking for ways to succeed. Everything started to become what someone else did to us to prevent us from succeeding, rather than what we caused to happen to ourselves. Basically we got lazy.

Did everyone? No just like all things some of us have retained that self responsibility and determination that made this country great. Then there are people like this that take that want of someone else to fix everything they screwed up because it is never their fault to a whole new level.

Watch this video. No seriously, I'll wait. Come back when your done.

Like that? Make you think? Wondering why I am putting a video like that up?

Seriously think about why this video proves exactly why Obama was re-elected. It's never your fault, or you didn't build that. It doesn't matter someone is always responsible for everything that has happened to you in your life, good or bad.

Look at the people who refuse to allow SS or Medicare to be cut. Not only is this a problem from a fiscal standpoint this is a serious problem from a personal responsibility stand point. People aren't even required to take responsibility for their own well being when they get older. Why should they take responsibility for anything they do now?

Oh and to answer the question/statement she makes at the end? You lady, who pumped out 15 kids is the one who is going to pay for them. Until we force that to happen in all cases we will continue to have people like this and Presidents like this one.

Can Conservatives win the coming debt limit and sequester fight?

I ask this in all seriousness. I know that if we had a "leadership" that was more concerned with reigning in spending and reducing the debt we could win. The problem is we don't have that kind of leadership. True, we do have some in Congress that feel this way and have the spine to make it work, but those unfortunately do not amount to numbers that we need.

John Boehner and Mitch McConnell will capitulate and cave long before we ever get to point of actually making the Dems sweat. Reason is the other side already knows that the Republican "Leadership" is scared of the media narrative blaming them if things don't go the exact way that the Dems want it to. We all know that those spineless fools will never have the fortitude to actually force the cuts that are needed.

Blame the Media for current Gun Control fight. UPDATE

With the gun grabbing left in full swing, and even beginning to attract some of those that at one point or another we endorsed by the NRA, I believe that it is time to start talking about what gun control laws would actually prevent.

And for the record no I DO NOT mean mass shootings.

Joygasim: Boehner re-elected as Speaker

May we now get exactly what we voted for. A fool with no backbone and zero principals who is possibly the worst negotiator in the history of the republic.

I'm so glad only 9 Republicans in the house actually had the guts to try to remove this idiot from office. I'm sure this will work out wonderfully. Especially since Boehner now refuses to negotiate one on one with the President. Of course with him, that's probably a good thing.

We asked for it, Now we have it.

For the last month I have been screaming to the world and all three of you here that read this, that we needed to go over the cliff. Pass a bill in the house that was logical and made full of common sense, you know balancing the budget type stuff, and then send it to the Senate and walk away. Instead what happened is what always happens. The Republican "Leadership" caved and gave away everything and then some.

Oh and for those of you about to say it, DO NOT come to me and talk about changing a narrative for the debt ceiling debate. Even you can't possibly believe that Boehner (if still speaker) and McConnell are going to show any more backbone than what they did here.

Great News: 16.4 Trillion debt ceiling to be hit Dec 31

According to the math whiz that runs the Treasury Department, we will hit the debt ceiling sooner than we expected. Don't worry though through some accounting gimmicks he can make us reach Feb. Maybe.

Some how the guy who couldn't figure out turbo tax can figure out to the day we will run out of money. Something smells fishy here. So at the same time that Obama wants a removal of the Debt Ceiling and at a very least wants a clean increase for the next few years, all of a sudden all those predictions to hit the ceiling come Feb were wrong. You mean to tell me the Federal Government can't add? Shocked I tell you. Shocked!

Well now lets look at the budget and help Turbo Tax Timmy find some more money. All totals from the 2013 proposed budget from Obama.

Shocking News: Social Security Broke!

According to this story from The Blaze, the SSA spent more than 47.8 Billion more than it took in. Nothing there surprising. I mean we already knew that was happening right. How bout this then. When SS was introduced there was 40 workers for every 1 receiving payments. Now that number is down to 1.67 per person receiving benefits.

Now using what my math teacher in High School taught me, tells me that particular equation does not work out.

Gun buy back program in NY is Racist.

Or at least it must be based on previous logic used when talking about Voter ID laws. You see for you to get up to $200 for your semi-auto rifle, which in most cases is quite below market value, you have to be able to produce photo ID for accounting purposes.

How are all those minorities who can't get ID for them to be able to participate in the election process going to be able to all of a sudden get an ID to sell those guns they no longer want? Where oh where is Erik Holder when you need him. This entire operation needs to be shut down and investigated for racisism.

This has to be a joke right? No, No it's not.

I was reading CNN today and I came across an article written on Dec 19 by William Bennett. While the article itself makes plenty of sense, let me show you one small paragraph that shows the level of security academia has placed its students.

To illustrate the absurdity of gun-free zones, Goldberg dug up the advice that gun-free universities offer to its students should a gunman open fire on campus. West Virginia University tells students to "act with physical aggression and throw items at the active shooter." These items could include "student desks, keys, shoes, belts, books, cell phones, iPods, book bags, laptops, pens, pencils, etc." Such "higher education" would be laughable if it weren't true and funded by taxpayer dollars.

No seriously, throw your iPod at the man holding a weapon that fires a projectile a a few hundred miles an hour. Yep, that seems like a fair fight.

These are suppose to be the "smart" people in the room? Seriously? Throw a frickin desk? That's the best you can come up with? Not, Hey, let's not make our students and faculty sitting ducks for the next crazy that comes along. Nope, you just throw your desk and your ball point pen at him and it will be fine. Trust us, we're tenured.

Like I said this would be a joke if it weren't so damn serious.

NYT still trying to white wash Fast and Furious.

An article in the NYT designed to show the public how much better the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms could be if Gun rights groups and Conservatives would just allow them to have more funding and less legal restrictions.

Then they go on to throw one more white wash on the Fast and Furious debacle, I guess just to make sure Obama still knows how much they love him.

Merry Christmas from The Handbook

On this most joyous of days let us slow down and remember the reason we are celebrating today. And it ain't a fat guy on a sleigh.

Merry Christmas all and may the Lord shine his light on all of you.

We allowed this to happen now deal with it.

I have been trying to figure out what I wanted this post to say for a few days. Today it struck me as to what it was that I wanted to say. I have been reading that people think that the Conservative caucus of the Republican House screwed everything up by throwing a "Tantrum" and making sure that Plan B failed. Some people believe that by doing this we are going to be stuck with God knows what kind of deal that is going to screw us over in the long run.

Here's a news flash for you. Plan B was that plan that was going to screw us over, and it wasn't even going to wait for the long run. It was going to screw us over right from the beginning, but people are so afraid of the fiscal cliff that they don't want to believe that. They seem to believe that Congress is actually concerned with doing something that is logical and would actually be a step in the right direction for the country. If that were the case the Sandy relief fund wouldn't be 60 billion with only 11 billion going to Sandy victims and most of the money not being spent until 2015.

Boehner caving and still hates you.

We at The Handbook have often said that we believe that the Republican "Leadership" hates you. I can prove this again. Boehner is caving on everything that Obama wants. Obama has no reason to negotiate because he knows that eventually Boehner will cave and give him more than he ever asked for.

Screw the Fiscal Cliff

Let me start by saying that we should never have been put into this position to begin with. The fact that Congress felt this was a good plan shows just how stupid they really are. Don't worry they tell us though, we're going to fix it before we actually have to enact all of this stuff. Excuse me if I'm not holding my breath.
