The National Park Service has entered its new role of totalitarian enforcement squad with vigor and enthusiasm not normally seen from government employees. After all that is where the phrase "good enough for government work" came from.
Of course I guess those people never got to live out the life of ardent ass-hat preventing seniors and tourists from seeing Old Faithful erupt.
That's right, armed Park Rangers prevented people from leaving the Old Faithful Inn until they were good and ready to leave the park completely. Notice they didn't give them back the money they paid for the trip. That money went towards the enhanced security measures instituted at the park to prevent
Think about it. You save and save to go see Old Faithful, instead you get some moronic asshat who obviously isn't very bright. So you get to be illegally detained in your hotel and prevented from walking IN THE FRICKING WOODS!!!!
The level of hatred and anger that the American people should be showing right now is unprecedented. We have never had such a petty petulant child in the White House. I think the most telling thing about all of this is the fact that the Park Rangers admit what they are doing.
The Washington Times were the ones to report that the troops were; well I think they say it the best:
“It’s a cheap way to deal with the situation,” an angry Park Service ranger in Washington says of the harassment. “We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It’s disgusting.”
That comment was made after an anonymous Ranger was asked about the parking lot to Mt. Vernon being barry-caded. After all the Government doesn't even own Mt. Vernon. That is privately owned by the Mt. Vernon Ladies Association. I'm sure the original George W. would be nothing but proud that one of the few men in the history of the world to lead this great nation is using his home as a way to throw a temper tantrum.
Then again this is the same group of people that think saving a child with cancer is irresponsible and reckless.
